The connection to nature as a philosophy of life has been the basis for Laomi Scanavini’s designs since 1989 when she began creating unique, precious, hand-made objects. A Master of Art in metal forging and casting, Laomi is a specialist goldsmith model maker, and is based at the School of Arts and Crafts of Vicenza. Since 2015, the Commission for Arts and Crafts of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region has awarded her the title of Master Craftsman and she will feature many of her unique designs at the forthcoming Autumn Gift & Home.
Laomi creates original and symbolic precious jewels thanks to her training in the holistic and botanical disciplines. For this year’s Autumn Gift & Home she will introduce TheFaeries Collection. The Flower Fairies are pendants made entirely by hand according to the technique of lost wax casting, and are assembled by hand in every part. They can be made of brass burnished, enamelled or left natural. The nude Fairies, only made of brass, are covered with a non-toxic transparent enamel that protects them from oxidation. Each fairy holds semi-precious stones in her hands.
Each fairy is also connected to a flower and transmits an angelic message as a gift, including the ability of knowing how to heal; the ability to speak with love; the ability to ward off dramatic situations; the ability to transmit knowledge; the ability to protect; the ability to know how to fulfil dreams; and stay in touch with nature.
TheFaeries Collection is truly unique and will undoubtedly cater for stockists who want something very different and attractive to entice customers into their stores.
